Adding embellishments (for music Arranger)

by Roger
(Adelaide South Australia)

Is there a standard practice for adding embellishments to a tune to be played by pipes. Eg, does each note have the same embellishment added each time the note is produced/

Adding embellishments
by: Bill Robertson

Hello Roger,
There is a kind of "common sense" and good taste as to which embellishments to use. The main thing is to avoid too many embellishmenst, and when in doubt miss out. It is rather complex for less developed pipers as to choice of embellishments and high G grace note.
There ar no set rules.
Best wishes,
Bill
