Lament For Alasdair Dearg MacDonellAlasdair Dearg was the first of the Glengarry MacDonalds to spell his name MacDonell. He married a daughter of Allan Cameron, 16th of Lochiel. Alasdair's father was Donald of Laggan and a sister was Isabella, wife of Sir Ruaridh Mor MacLeod of Harris and Dunvegan. He predeceased his father and sister who both lived to over 100 years of age.
