Bagpipe Lessons for Bruce's Address - Progressive VersionThis is the more advanced way of playing Bruce's Address that appeared earlier in the Tunes of the Month in a much simpler form for early beginners. This is for those who have progressed well enough and may now include the further embellishments. The pause marks on F sixth bar each part are to consider tasteful extra duration of say another beat as you approach the ending which can be slowed down slightly. Bruce's Address melody was for some time the National Anthem of Scotland with words by the famous Scots poet Robert Burns. Also of interest is that two famous composers of Classical orchestral music, Hector Berlioz and Max Bruch, used this theme with variations in certain works with Scottish elements in the music.
