Fingering

I find it difficult to learn from frontal images for instruction. Do you have any resources that illustrate instruction from an angle as you are playing(The rear)?

Fingering
by: Bill Robertson

In answer to your question on fingering angles, Ken, I do have my Beginners Guide interactive DVD
showing a rear view drawing with guidelines and photograph. In the DVD videos relevant to basic fingering positions and the early single intervals and onwards other basic fingering i.e doublings etc., I have semi-side view position of fingering most of the way to show the main hand involved when necessary which is often. These side views are also in photographs alongside the early single intervals pages of the printable manual.

Please go to our website main page left under Website Categories: Bagpipe Lessons: Scroll down to Click any one of the links for free lessons: scroll to Finger positioning for the chanter: proceed from there to find video, illustrations, photos, and text to find out what is extracted from my Beginners Guide, and much more as you can see from the outset.
Trusting that explains and helps - all the best,
Bill
