Iain Dall was the son of an illegitimate daughter of Donald Duaghal. The story is that Anapool is a corruption of Arnaboll, the latter being an estate once owned by Marion Munro who married a second cousin of Donald Duaghal MacKay. The MacKay and Munro gentry intermarried over many generations.
