level 5 (new) piper

I need your help so desperately - I have been taking lessons (practice chanter) since Sept. 2010 - now I have my brand new pipes and I can't seem to find the right reed for me.

I have sent for lots and none work (at this time) because I'm so new. I can play maybe 6 notes on the bagpipes if I'm lucky and some reeds (none) my instructor is leaving for 7 weeks on a Europeon trip so I'm am lost as to what reed I should purchase. I have sent to England for a reed called the "senior" for beginners, children, and older people. I am hoping those will work for me.

I would appreciate your input/ideas as to what may work for me.
