pipe tune to learn first

Hello Dave,
The common lttle tune first up for a beginners uesed to be "Bruce's Addres/Scots wha' Hae--".
I simplify it in the very early stages in my Beginners' Guide to relieve monotony even before the doublings etc., than come progressively.
O ggod reason for the recommend tune is that it is mainly in single intervals and less difficult for the beginner. A little later "Amazing Grace" can be suitable as it is a familiar melody.
I trust that helps, and all the best,

Bill
