Removing Ferrols on Drones

How can I remove the ferrols from my drones?

I have tried reezing and hot water but no success.

Any info how i can do it would be appreciated?.

Hello Darryl,
I agree with comments from Miolchu, and cannot see why you would want to remove the item, unless you are replacing the ferrols with some other kind - a tricky job. Try asking the manufacturer of your pipes for advice. Otherwise, although perhaps not advisable, with a towel of suchlike on the ferrol to avoid damage to some degree try with suitable pliers or wrench carefully to undo from the thread or loosen the glue. If you think too much pressure might cause damage, stop.

Darryl, your ferrules may have been threaded, glued or both. Removing them from your drone sections could damage both the sections and/or the ferrules. I would recommend you send your pipes in to a repair facility, preferably the manufacturer.

Ferrule are designed to protect your stocks from splitting at points where there are stresses placed on them and to protect section ends.

I am curious why you thought to remove them.
