Rushing Gracenotes

by MK
(USA)

P/M Robertson,

I have a tendency to rush the gracenotes which winds up crushing them. I noticed tension in my hands when doing so?

Any suggestions to overcome this obstacle would be greatly appreciated. Great Website, wealth of information, easy to navigate.

Nicely Done.

When looking back for some other remarks, MK, I saw this one again. I advise you to think in the main about the clean execustion of the first grace note in doubling which is high G grace note. Even pracice just with the hi G grace note for some time to make sure the first grace note is accurately on the melody note. Eventually bring in the double sound in a methodical way - slowly and well separated, and often enough, with building up to that as played, still with the separation and thinking of that first high G grace note mainly.Listen perceptively always.
All the best,
Bill
