Tune comment

Dear Mr. Robertson, thanks for taking out of the trunk this wonderful tune. It has the melodic line and essence of the ancient military tunes. I have learned it with great pleasure just following your precise explanations. Just to point that listening to the mp3 file I think you are playing a different variation from the Second Part, Firs repeat, Third Bar as written down on the pdf.
Thank you

Tune Comment - Salvi
by: Bill Robertson

Thank you Salvi for your kind comments. I am not sure what you mean about a different playing from that as written in the PDF. I assume that it might be about the ending of the first time through the second part where a high G is played and written towards the end of the part.

The high G is meant to be played the first time through. From listening to my sound file I appear to play the melody as written except for the odd high A in the F doubling added in the playing, and a few birls a bit sticky.

I am pleased that you like some of the older tunes often neglected over the past number of years.
Best wishes,
Bill
