The Royal Scots Cap Badge

which size of bag to go for?

by andy
(brighton)

I am thinking of getting a small bannantyne bag to replace my ageing medium sized one, as fellow band members have said a smaller bag gives more control.

What are the advantages/disadvantages of small medium and large bags?

Andy

Which size of bag
by: Bill Robertson

The size of the bag essentially depends on the size/physique of the piper. If you are below 5 ft. 5", perhaps the small siez might suit. From 5'6" to almost 6' a medium size, although there was fad some time ago for larger bags for fellow about that tall and robust enough. Upwards fo 6' perhaps the large bag. I think it best to ask the bag maker in relation to you size etc., for advice. I cannot see the benefit of a small bag particulary helping with control(in blowing steadily).

Bill
