Tune Of The Month for March 2011 - Leaving Lochboisdale
March 06, 2011

For this months lesson I have chosen the slow air Leaving Lochboisdale. The Tune was composed by the late Pipe Major John Wilson. From what I can determine, the tune was written on leaving South Uist after competing at the games at Askernish, which at one point attracted all the very top pipers of the day the Lochboisdale Hotel used to put them up when they came over to compete.

I hope you enjoy the tune and remember to contact me via the website should you have any questions about the tune. The above link will redirect you to a section, towards the bottom of the lesson page where you can submit a comment or ask a question.

Anyway that is all for this month.

Best Regards.
